Age Groups
There are 6 competitive age groups offered in Victorian competitions.
There are 6 competitive age groups offered in Victorian calisthenics.
The sections have been carefully divided to reflect the stages of development in children and youth.
Age groups are determined by the competitors age on the 31st of December in the year of competition and are as follows:
Tinies | 3 – 7 years |
Sub-Juniors | 10 years and under |
Juniors | 13 years and under |
Intermediates | 17 years and under* |
Seniors | 16 years and over* |
Masters | 26 years and over |
* Decided in conjunction with the club and coach, 16 & 17 year olds can be either an Intermediate or Senior.
Recreational Calisthenic classes often use the same age groups.
