VALE MARGARET LINGHAM
VALE MARGARET LINGHAM
It is with heavy hearts that we share with the community the passing of our dedicated Life Member, Margaret Lingham.
Margaret was an eminent Coach at Minerva Calisthenic College for many years as well as opening her own class Lowanna, and held the positions of VCTA President and CVI Secretary. She was involved in Pupil Skills as an Examiner, and Director of Pupil Skills for the ACF from 1990–1999. She was also an active member of the ASCA for many years, adjudicating at all levels including Nationals, State Championships, RSSS, Metro, Regional and interstate competitions.
Margaret enjoyed sharing her Calisthenic knowledge and believed in advancing participants, Coaches and Adjudicators at all levels of our sport. After her retirement from adjudicating, she remained interested and involved as an esteemed Life Member.
Margaret was always willing to contribute as a volunteer to support calisthenic stakeholders, through Committees and working at competitions in any tasks that were required, as well as being an active promoter of calisthenics in the wider community. This commitment was recognised with Life Memberships to Calisthenics Victoria, VCCA and ASCA.
She was a role model to many, demonstrating dedication, commitment, professionalism and integrity in all roles. Always ready to help out whenever and wherever required in any capacity, Margaret’s determination was admired and respected.
Margaret will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered as a wonderful friend to many in the calisthenics community, and we send our deepest condolences to her family.
