We are very proud to share that Gwenda Lucas has been awarded the Member of the Order of Australia
We are very proud to share that Gwenda Lucas has been awarded the Member of the Order of Australia in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for significant service to calisthenics, and to the community.
Gwenda competed at Regent Calisthenic College until the late 1960s and remained as Secretary for 40 years. During that time, Gwenda was Competition Convenor for Calisthenics Victoria and she excelled in this area, supporting all performers, committees and clubs throughout Victoria. She also contributed countless years of service to the VCCA Committee. This was a huge undertaking that required outstanding qualities and a significant amount of time and dedication.
Gwenda is a Life Member of Calisthenics Victoria and VCCA, and has a wealth of knowledge regarding calisthenics as she has given her life to our sport. She is very deserving of this recognition, and we are so grateful to Gwenda for her incredible contribution to calisthenics.
