This Club Workshop will be presented online by Michaela Cook, Participation and Inclusion Manager at Vicsport.

Michaela is a passionate and experienced sports administrator with 8+ years of experience in advocating, advising and delivering sporting environments and opportunities for young people, people with diverse sexualities, genders, abilities, and backgrounds.

As the Participation and Inclusion Manager, Michaela leads the Child Safe Sport portfolio where she assists state sport associations with the implementation of the Victorian Child Safe Standards. She is also responsible for driving projects relating to LGBTIQ+ inclusion, inclusive practice and acts as the main point of contact for Member queries regarding participation, retention, inclusion and child safeguarding.

Before joining Vicsport in January 2022, Michaela served as the Inclusion and Diversity Manager at Hockey Victoria. In this role, she led inclusive practice, club development, inclusion and diversity, recruitment, and youth engagement.
