We are pleased to announce participant recruitment for the 2017 State Team. We aim for all workshops and auditions to be fun and relaxing yet challenging and ambitious. If you are interested in joining Victoria’s State Team you must attend both the audition and workshop sections for your section.

14 Consecutive days of the 2016 CVI State Championships

Up until the 30 September, 53 different sections, 104 clubs and 6,539 competitors will compete at the 2016 CVI State Championships across 3 venues in metropolitan Melbourne, The Besen Centre in Burwood,  the Kel Watson Theatre in Foresthill and the Ulumbarra Theatre in Bendigo. The CVI State Championships is the only recognised competition in Victoria that awards the 'State Title' to the winner of each section from Championship level to Division 11.

We’re going Westside!

The Westside Calisthenics Competition runs from 17  September until 9 October 2016 .  There are over 2,000 competitors performing at St Bernards College Performing Arts Centre, Rosehill Road, Essendon-Keilor East and Gladstone Park Secondary College Performing Arts Centre, Taylor Drive, Gladstone Park.   The Westside Competition was originally called Norwest Competition and created by Sue Smith from Westaire Calisthenics College with her father, the late Jim Chalmers.

State Team Coaching Leadership and State Team Manager for Nationals

In the Strategic Plan 2016-18, CVI committed to sending a State Team to the ACF National Championships in 2017. CVI are pleased to announce that Victoria are taking a State Team covering all sections to the 2017 Nationals to be hosted in Sydney, New South Wales.

Coaching Leadership

Through an open application process, jointly facilitated by the VCCA and CVI, 25 applications were received for coaching positions across all sections. CVI and VCCA would like to thank all those coaches who applied. Their support of the process and of the national campaign is appreciated.

Waverley Competition starts this weekend

The Waverley Calisthenics Competition, run by Merinda Calisthenics College, starts on 10 September and runs until 25 September 2016. Waverley will run at the Besen Centre, Station Street, Burwood and The Alan Ross Centre, Billanook College. Championship level to Division 3 compete at this competition.

CVI State Championships return to Bendigo this weekend!

Greater Bendigo Mayor Cr Rod Fyffe will welcome competitors at the Division 7 Masters section on Saturday 10 September, at the start of the 2016 Victorian Calisthenic State Championships at Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre.

During the 2016 State Championships, approximately 1,160 competitors, 20 volunteers, 8 officials and 59 Victorian Calisthenic clubs will travel to Bendigo for the Victorian State Championships.
