TECHNICAL EXAMINATION SYSTEM
The Skills Examination System was first introduced in 1979 to raise the standard of calisthenics and unify terminology/technique throughout Australia. This is now a National Program administered by each State/Territory body under the auspices of The Australian Calisthenic Federation-Examiner’s Advisory Board which is responsible for setting/updating guidelines (technically & administratively).
The program consists of three sections – TESTS (3 levels), STANDARDS (4 levels) and GRADES (4 levels); after which candidates can progress to the Medal program – Bronze, Silver and Gold. Participants are encouraged to progress through the system at their own pace, then onto medals with the ultimate achievement being Gold Medal Honours.
