Cal-ability - Schools and Specialised programs

We have a number of Special Development Schools and Special Schools across Victoria hosting CVI’s Cal-ability program.

With qualified calisthenics coaches delivering the fundamentals of calisthenics through weekly classes within the schools, CVI aims to increase participation within our sport, and to provide children who have often been limited in their sport and recreation options with another choice.

The Cal-ability program has provided a platform for CVI to develop relationships and partnerships with a range of people and organisations including Mrs Helen Richey as our official ambassador.  For more information about our partners, visit Our Partners.

The Cal-ability program is an important step forward for calisthenics, bringing our sport in line with world’s best practices.  By expanding our umbrella of calisthenics programs, we are ensuring that through our Cal-ability program, calisthenics really is ‘something for everyone’.

“As Ambassador of the Cal-ability program, I am hopeful that through offering children the opportunity to revel in the sheer joy of dance, we will also provide them with that sense of community, of belonging, that we all delight in.”
